"When I was just a little girl, I remember watching the boys on my grandfather's boat reel in king salmon and I would just think to myself " I want to play too!! ". Now here I am 26 years later, on that same deck running the rigging, cleaning our catch, and being the happiest version of myself. There's nothing like being at sea with not a single boat in sight, where the only 'traffic' are the whales going through the channel. Even though I grew up on the chuck, I find myself on the river now more often than not. If you asked me to choose between winter steelheading or summer chinook, you'd be waiting a long time before you got an answer! What can I say, fishing isn't just a hobby for me, it's a lifestyle.
