I was fortunate to grow up enjoying the outdoors. Both hunting and fishing has always been a big part of my life. I have fished a wide variety of big lakes. Now that I am an avid Kayak Angler, I have been able to fish all sizes of lakes and rivers. One advantage of kayak fishing is the ability to get into those small lakes that larger boats aren’t able to access. Fishing in the Kootenays has given me the opportunity to catch many different species of fish; bull trout, rainbow trout, kokanee, Walleye, Bass, Perch, to name a few. Since my best friend introduced me to kayak fishing, we have made a lot of good memories and have been able to inspire others to try kayak fishing too. Kayak fishing is definitely an undiscovered sport that I urge people to try. The rush of catching a big fish and “going for a sleigh ride” in your kayak, will never fail to put a big smile on your face. Kayak fishing has become much more than a passion; it is an obsession.

Using Gibbs Fishing tackle has made fishing a great experience. I have been a fan of Gibbs products for as long as I can remember. From using Willow Leaf trolls to catch kokanee and rainbow, to using the new products such as Bling Blades, Dog Tail Dodgers, Kokanee Dodgers, and G Force Spoons. And I can’t forget my favorite…Crocs. My son and I have many memories catching fish on those awesome hooks.
