Inspired by my father, my passion for fishing was sparked at an early age with an edge for tournaments. Now I not only fish local, regional, and national events year round, but I also direct the statewide NYS Classic Events (NYSwinterclassic.com, NYSsummerclassic.com), regional Great Lakes Salmon Showdown Events (GLSSevents.com), regional NYS Hudson River Classic (NYSHRC.com), and national USA Spring & Fall Perch Showdown Events as part of the next generation of tournament events utilizing cell phone pictures and videos on an online, real-time platform. In 2020 I acquired my captain's license and now run charters for trout, salmon, and walleye along with educational charters that offer anglers a hands-on experience learning the skills and tactics of targeting multiple species, or teaching youth the basic skills of angling (fksportfishing.com). I continue to engage youth anglers through promotional events, helping youth organizations, directing the fishing club/team at my high school, and outfitting those who participate in my events with new gear for the upcoming season.

My favorite Gibbs Fishing lures that dominate our salmon spread would have to be the large Rhys Teaser Heads run behind various Kingfisher flashers and Stinger Stingray size spoons.
