Meet Eric, a dedicated member of the Gibbs Pro team whose passion for fishing has been a lifelong journey. Born into a family where fishing was more than just a hobby, Eric's love for the sport was ignited at the tender age of 4 when his father introduced him to the world of angling. The memory of his first catch, a modest 4” sunfish, is proudly mounted on his wall, serving as a symbolic reminder that every fish has the potential to become a cherished trophy, holding priceless memories.
-
As Eric's childhood unfolded, his obsession with fishing deepened, and he found himself navigating the waters of Lake Ontario alongside his father. Together, they targeted salmon and trout, even though their early endeavors were marked more by the joy of the experience than a string of successful catches. Looking back, Eric acknowledges that many of those memorable moments were likely fueled by luck, but the laughter and stories shared during those times remain a cherished part of his life.
-
Fast forward through the decades, and Eric has become a seasoned angler, passing on his knowledge and enthusiasm to the next generation. Now, he finds joy in teaching his own children how to fish for salmon and trout, relishing in the same excitement over a 4” sunfish that once captivated him.
-
As a Gibbs Pro team member, Eric has honed his skills and developed a fondness for certain fishing gear. Among his favorite go-to Gibbs Fishing items are the Derby winner Big eye spoon, the Michigan Stinger Fat Nancy and Dirty White Boy spoons, and essential additions like the green/chartreuse prism Delta Inline Flasher and a Chrome Rhys Davis Anchovy teaser head. Eric's dedication to the sport and his commitment to sharing the joy of fishing with others make him a valuable asset to the Gibbs Pro team and a true enthusiast in every sense of the word.
