About us:
I started fishing with my family as soon as I could walk, talk and hold on to a fishing rod. Fishing the waters of the East and West Coast of the Island, Commercial Trolling and Recreational Sports-fishing was part of the family heritage and developed into a lifestyle for me. Nothing beats time spent in the Pacific Ocean and the great outdoors. Its an amazing community of Friends on the water and the fishing community. I started guiding at at the age of 14 for a Lodge on the East Coast of Vancouver Island Motor Mooching live Raked Herring, Jigging and Trolling Gibbs 50/50 Brass Spoons for Coho and Chinook Salmon and Massive Lingcod. In short order I realized I was hooked on getting paid to spend time doing what I love best, Fishing and enjoying the excitement and adrenaline rush of people having time of their lives. I have now been in the Sports-fishing industry as a Guide Almost 30 years, with the past 22 as the Owner of Tailspin Charters enjoying the backyard we call home on the nutrient rich waters around Vancouver Island and British Columbias North Coasts magical coastline for Salmon, Halibut and Lingcod.
